The Hong Kong market opened lower on Friday. Hang Seng index opened down 111 points; H share index down 23 points and technology index down 74 points. HSBC lost 1.5% for 35-point loss. Meituan lost 1.35% for 26-point loss. Alibaba lost 1.69% for 26-point loss. AIA lost 0.5% for 15-point loss. HK Exchanges lost 1.5% for 25-point loss. On the contrary, Wuxi Biologics rose 1.37% for 13-point gain. China Mobile rose 1.68% for 12-point gain. Ping An rose 0.8% for 11-point gain. A shares opened down 0.67%. Shanghai composite index opened down 78 points. The Hong Kong market fell further after opening, as Hang Seng index lost 400 points. Tencent lost 2.4% for 82-point loss. HSBC lost 3.45% for 81-point loss. Hang Seng index fell to a low of 30100. down 495 points. Gomei’s former chairman left prison. Share price rose 20%. GCL had support. It rose 5.5% after opening lower. Budweiser rose 2.8% to lead the blue chips. Xiaomi lost 4.34% to lead the losers. Auto stocks fell. Geely lost 2.9%. BYD lost 2.75%. Cathy Wood shares fell sharply. Zhongan lost 10%. Yeahka lost 9.8%. PA Good Doctor lost 1.6%. Local properties rose against the market. CK Assets rose 1.94%. SHK Property rose 1.35%. Henderson Land rose 0.5%. China Unicom rose 7.4%. China Telecom rose 7%. China Tower rose 4.2%. Comba Telecom rose 9%. Hong Kong retailers rose. Chow Sang Sang rose 7%. Chow Tai Fook rose 6%. Sa Sa International rose 4.4%. Bonjour rose 2.5%. A shares closed up 0.57%. Shanghai composite index closed up 20 points. The Hong Kong market followed A shares and rebounded sharply in midafternoon. Heavyweights like Tencent almost regained its lost ground. Xiaomi soared 10%. Hang Seng index turned from loss to gain. Hang Seng index closed up 49 points; H share index up 65 points and technology index down 30 points. Turnover was $253.2 billion. For the week, Hang Seng index gained 471 points, H share index 226 points and technology index 150 points.
